Application of Niobium Microalloying Technology on CSP Production

Abstract It is possible to develop a new leading technology for the production of advanced steels if these innovative ultra-fined grain methods such as DIFT(Deformation Induced Ferrite Transformation), RPC(Relaxation Precipitation Controlling Transformation), and DET(Deformation Enhanced Transformation) resulting from ‘Fundamental Research on New Generation iron and Steel materials in China (973 plans)’ are well synthesized with potential processing benefits of CSP line. And niobium microalloying or micro-niobium treatment is absolutely necessary for successful development and application of this technology. The possibilities of production of niobium-bearing steel products in CSP line appear unlimited.
